Youth Basketball Clinics

Viking’s youth basketball clinics are a great introduction to the game. Our coaches have crafted age based curriculum  to ensure each child is developing their skills, but most importantly having fun. Throughout the length of the season we introduce and practice the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting. During a typical class session we begin with a brief stretch where players and coaches introduce themselves with a fun fact. Next will be ball-handling/dribbling drills, followed with some fun games like “Dribble Knockout”, “Red Light, Green Light” or “Fishy-Fishy”. After the class’s drills and skills portion, players will then be divided onto teams for live scrimmaging and/or more basketball games. Age adjusted rules and lower hoops are used as necessary. We want kids excited to come back week after weeks, so we strongly emphasis fun and learning.

Advanced Basketball Clinics

Viking’s advanced basketball clinics are geared towards players who already have a solid understanding of the basics of basketball but now want to take their game to a new level! With more advanced drills, workouts and in-depth breakdowns of the game, these classes are more competitive than a traditional class. Players are expected to be coachable, give 100% effort and sportsmanship. Our goal for all Advanced Basketball classes is to help increase each players basketball IQ and continue to develop and grow individual skills. We want to help you become the player you want to be!
