We held our first formal Holiday Banquet to honor coaching excellence and to promote deserving staff to Senior roles within Viking. The evenings festivities were deliciously catered by award winning chef Colleen Suhanosky, owner of Rifrullo Cafe. During the event we had the pleasure of having guest speakers share their Viking experiences and how it impacted their workplace, school, and home.
Dr. Asa Sevelius, Principal of Heath School shared his experience of Viking’s involvement with Heath in regards to team building events. Next Sarah Cavicchi, President of the FCNS Board of Directors, shared her experience of having Viking run gym class for the entire school for ages 2-5. Finally Al McClean, a Viking parent, explained to our coaches from a parent’s perspective what makes them great.
The evening saw Coach Josh Stuart and Coach Jake Sternlicht receive awards for Coaching Excellence. Our long time director, Heather Connolly, who was also a “Brookline Women of the Year” Finalist in 2016, received the Directing Excellence Award.
Coach Josh Robinson was promoted from Head Coach to Senior Director, Head of Soccer Operations.
Coach James Ames was promoted from Head Coach to Senior Director, Head of Marketing Operations.
Coach Alex Kingsley was promoted from Head Coach to Senior Director, Head of Basketball Operations.
Coach Chris Baker was promoted from Senior Director to General Manager.
